Here's my new Dano:

Went shopping CERTAIN I was going to buy a Blacktop Jazzmaster. This happened instead - just totally fell for it once I saw it and got my mitts on it.

Specs:
Body style: Single-cutaway
Body material: Masonite/poplar
Neck: Bolt-on poplar
Fingerboard: Rosewood
Nut: metal
Truss rod: adjustable, aluminum
Tuners: Closed back, 3 at each side of the headstock
Pickups: Alnico lipstick
Controls: Tone and volume
Bridge/tailpiece: Notched metal
Pickguard: White "Seal"
Headstock: "Bottle" -shaped
Other: Original-style textured side edge tape

The build quality for such a 'cheapo' is excellent and I cannot praise the neck enough. Nicely chunky and FAST. I play it through a Vox AC-30 and I AM back in the sixties

I never thought I would fall for a Dano - but I did.

how does a dano compare to a tele in the brightness factor if you or anyone knows? I love the looks of danos, but never played one. HNGD!

But theres no reason why i cant be free like a raspberry stuck to the back of a horny elephants ass.

This is maybe the worst comparison in the history of comparisons.

the dano seemed to have a brighter neck pickup than the Tele. but the bridge wasn't horribly bright.
