I'd really like to have a Champ 600 or something similar, a small tube amp that way I can crank it and get that power tube sag, and have some good response. Overdrive needs to sound like Free, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin tone. That is the tone in which I desire. :P I prefer to go straight to the amp minus the necessary effects such as Wah, Reverb, Delay, etc.

Which amp is for me?
I got some good guitars, yo.

vht special 6? it's fendery, but it has a footswitchable boost, which sorta sounds a bit like going from blackfacey fender to more tweedy. i think it would probably do what you want.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
