I've had my Boss ME-20 Multi-Effects pedal for over 2 years now, and over the last couples of weeks I've noticed that the pedal overdrives everything that runs through it, being the effect clean, distorted or simply putting the pedal in by-pass.

It makes clean tone sounds dirty and horrible, and I'm not sure why it's doing it. The pedal still lights up and functions normally, it's just the sound is awful.

I've tried the pedal through my Marshall Cab with a Laney head, a crappy Fender Frontman 15G and some practice amp Marshalls at my college, with the outcome the same for all.

Anyone know any reasons why this is happening?
Is it easily fixed, or this the pedal beyond hope?

Thanks,
