Almost every time i turn the amp on (Fender Frontman 65 R) i get this weird, annoying cracking sound - something like a walkie-talkie transmission breaking up to get the idea - and it doesn't cut off the guitar's sound but i just can't play with that crap going on, it almost sounds like it's on its last legs, so to speak...

Can anyone tell me what this actually is and if/HOW i can sort it out?
(i'm sort of trying to start doing some DIY work with my gear, get-to-know-the-mechanics-of-it-all kind of thing)

Thank you!!

I am having the same crackling noise problem. It might actually be the input jack on your guitar and not the amp.
Guitars: Fender FSR Standard Strat, Squire Affinity Strat, Epiphone Nighthawk
Amps: Vox AC15C1, Roland Cube 15x, Peavey KB-1
Pedals: Digitech RP355, HD500, Joyo AC-Tone, EHX Soul Food

No, definitely not. It crackles even when it's not plugged to the guitar sometimes.

Maybe the nut is not tight enough where you plug the guitar into.

Sorry, i know for a FACT it has nothing to do with the guitar
