Hey guys, I'm about 50 pounds overweight(fat jokes aside) and im not looking to be tip top shape, Id just like to drop about 25 or a little more so my gut doesnt look so damn big haha, I dont mind being chubby, I just feel i crossed that chubby to "starting to get fat" line! I was just gonna eat breakfast (something healthy bagel with peanut butter or something) and i drink alot of coffee, and not eat much maybe a salad later in the day and alot of coffee throughout the day....I also work a labor job so I move around alot in the sun during the summer.....When I lose it im going to start eating healthier too.....I just feel working out just makes me eat more and im always so busy i always get off schedule....Any other suggestions to help me out guys. Thanks, peace and much love!~Caleb

Lose the coffee. Eat 5 small healthy meals a day, the first being your biggest. And exercise 3 - 5 times a week. For at least 30 minutes.

Then you should be set.

Searchbar dude...

This aside, just eat well (plenty of lean white meat, salads, you know the sort of thing), try and stay away from foods with excess salt/fat or processed food and exercise about half an hour/an hour every day. Also, moderation with alcohol and snacks is good.

Itsk.

I can't find it either; it probably died.

Only thing I can give you is....along with work/eating healthy try to get out and ride a bike or something. Even walking can help. It's going to be kinda tough working off some weight. It isn't like *Oooh I walked for 2 hours a day for 3 weeks and -POOF- yur all skinny and shit.*
Put some effort into it and you should be good.

cut off your legs. that's about 50 pounds lost right there.

I wrestled in high school, when i needed to lose weight i would wear (this is going to sound stupid) a trashbag, jogging/sweasuit, skullcap(40% of body heat emits from your head, and a belly wrap. I went from 130 to 119 pounds with ease after summers. Go on a mile long run/jog no walking. I think the trick is to heat up your body so you literally "burn" calories.

A month of doing this and you'll be rocking those skinny jeans in no time

The whole breakfast boosting your metabolism is a myth. Just eat when you're actually hungry versus when you're on schedule to eat. Work out. That's all. Eat healthy and work out. There is no secret to it. I don't understand why people think there is one. Burn more calories than you eat, and viola, you've lost yourself some weight.

I wrestled as well, you're aware that the trashbag and stuff only burns off water weight and not actual fat, right? If you have to weigh in tommorrow and you're a few ounces to a pound or two over weight, then it will help, but if you're trying to lose weight over the summer then there is no point to it.

Not only is that incredibly unhealthy over an extended period, but it's just plain wrong. The body burns more calories when it is cold because it 'burns' them to produce heat.

drink water, do cardio. maybe pick up the drums for a metal band
or a drug habit
edit: drug habit is the cheater way. using these four combined, i went from 5'9" (1.75 m), 200lbs (90 kg) to like 140 lbs (64 kg) over the course of the last year.

I stand corrected. I'm not a dietician or anything just sought to help. One thing I can say for sure, stay away from fast foods and get plenty of exercise. I still think the belly wrap thing would help for losing some inches from the stomach area though.

No, unless the wrap does some kind of massage thing or send electrodes to make the muscles twitch it won't do anything. Heat only works to sweat you out, and that doesn't burn fat. He's not concerned with the number on the scale, but the fat in his body. He's trying to lose mass, not weight.

Eat healthily. Don't eat carelessly, and go out and enjoy nature. That's worked for me.

Eat lots of food over a longer period of time, so you're almost continuoulsy nibbling on things and drinking all day. Mix that with healthier foods like fruit, water, wraps, etc. And you'll be healthy in no timeeeee

Not trying to be a dick, but 50lbs overweight isn't chubby/fat, its borderline obesity.

Ive lost 60lbs in the past 6 months and it wasn't even that hard, just make sure you eat healthy ( keep away from fast food obv.) and exercise regularly. Don't go on a fad diet, change your whole diet to better foods and keep it that way, Also, don't aim for losing 25lb straight away, set smaller goals, ie lose 5lbs, see how you feel then choose whether to keep going or not. Keeps you motivated because you feel like you're achieving something.

I used to break a sweat walking up my driveway and i can now easily do a 10k jog.

it does. Smoking reduces appetite and makes you thinner. You'd be more fat if you didn't smoke.

Exercise.

I don't mean start exercising and then give up or like 2 times a week. It takes effort and dedication and you wont see results overnight. You probably wont notice at all, when I started my sister comes home every couple of months and everytime she's like "you're looking slim" or "every time I see you you get bigger".

A little bit of discipline and dedication and you should become a lot healthier in a few months.

he'd also be more healthy...

i dont see the point in smoking to "make yourself thinner"

you only lose weight because nicotine induces your body's "fight or flight" response and you burn essential fat reserves to do so.

you get thinner, but in an extremely unhealthy way

also, eating less can actually make you MORE fat. When you eat so little, your body thinks its starving and holds on to as much fat as possible.

eat lots of healthy food (emphasis on lots) drink lots of water.

really though, go to the exercise and nutrition thread most of them actually know what theyre talking about, as opposed to most of the hearsay, rumours and old wives tales youll hear from the rest of the pit.

Well, no vodoo here. Water should be your only drink, no extra sugar meals like deserts, and yes. Some workout will help too
Not sure if a sig is a necessity.

It depends on you dude, I pretty much exercise 30 min - 1 hour a day (except on weekends, they're my '**** your body up' days), but I eat like I've got constant munchies. So basically I just waste an hour of my day daily, but it feels good man.

If you really wanna do it, start working on muscles (I suggest your back, arm, chest and stomach), all you need to do is about 2 sets of 15 push ups and 2 sets of 15 crunches.

Also, do some cardio every 2 or 3 days.
The reason I prefer muscle workouts over cardio is because you still grow muscles when you're resting, but with cardio you're just burning the fat as you exercise (I'm not sure if that's true, but all in all muscle just feels better). I guess it depends if you want to be healthier, or better looking.

Also, you don't need to eat that much less, just cut back on junk food, beer, fast food, and greasy shit. (red meat, oily pizza aka pizza hut just unhealthy shit like that)
I don't know much about healthy dieting, but I always include a shitload of protein (a real ****load tbh) in my diet.

Good luck, and remember that it takes a really long time to lose weight.
