Hi,

Ive just got a new hardtail, top loading bridge. Its brand new and all 6 saddles are set to the same height.

To what measurements should I adjust the saddles' height and length?

Umm, you mean the thing's already on your guitar? Just string it and then set the intonation and action as normally o.o

Im building a guitar, and its not attached to anything.

So how do I set the action and intonation as normal?

First you'll need to decide on the scale length of the guitar. 24,75" and 25,50" are the 2 most common lengths, but a number of other lengths exist.

As for setting the action and intonation, the internet - and in large amounts this very forum - is packed with instructions, which I'm too lazy to recite here.

Honestly, though, you should already be familiar with this stuff before building a guitar. If you can, try to find a good book somewhere that takes you through the process of making a guitar, such a book should answer a lot of your questions.

Good luck!
