I recently picked up a Jackson JS30RR for cheap, and have since thrown in EMG's and gotten some pinstriping done on it to make it look like the USA Rhoads with gold pinstripes on it. Right now it looks like this

My question is, do I leave the hardware chrome, or do all black or all gold, or a mixture? I personally think black would look good, but then I think about a black Les Paul Custom with gold hardware and how good that looks. Or do I save the money and keep everything chrome? Im just wondering what others would do in my shoes. Thanks

Distressed Chrome is cool. Not sure if its actually called that, but it's something along those lines.

Oh and wait for the Schecter fan boys, if you listen real hard you can already hear them coming.

I'd go with gold, personally. Looks killer!

Nah, I prefer to tune lower. My tunings usually go into weird Hebrew symbols.

Yeah, I was thinking about the gold EMG's. Once they come down in price maybe. I got these ones for a really great deal, which is the only reason I got them. Thanks for the help. I was leaning toward gold, but my dad was saying it may look a little too gaudy with so much of it on there. Just seeing what other people thought.

Gold would look sweet.
Damn it! Disable can't use disable to disable Disable's disable because disable's disable has already been disabled by Disable's disable!

In the end, the only question is: what bass would Jesus play?

I think he's a Fender Jazz guy.

Stick with chrome. If you go with gold the pinstripe won't stand out as well.

I could, but I like getting cheap guitars and modding them. More fun than having a few stock guitars that dont have anything special to them. Almost all my guitars have some kind of cool modifiation to them that make them unique.

Gold, definitely gold. Black guitars with gold hardware are sexy as Hell.
I shall grant you three wishes.

None of which will work.

Does the above post enrage, offend or confuse you?

Good.

I like my women how I like my guitars. Curvy and like it when I finger them.
