I just bought a used SR505 and am not sure when it was made. I know it's not a 2010 or 2011 model because of the neck joint. Does anyone know how to fine out when a bass was made?

In the end, the only question is: what bass would Jesus play?

I think he's a Fender Jazz guy.

You bass was made in 05 with the CP meaning it was made china IIRC.

EDIT:
CP=where it was made
05=year when built
126873=production number
Damn it! Disable can't use disable to disable Disable's disable because disable's disable has already been disabled by Disable's disable!

Thanks all, thought it might be a 05 but wasnt sure, also I know for a fact it was made in China, says right on the headstock. Wonder if what the seller told me was true and the strings on it are the original stock strings. He said that he never touched it.

They chuck Elixirs on those in the factory. They stay "new sounding" for a very, very long time.
Basses:
Fender Precision Bass
Fender Jazz Bass
1967 Fender Coronado Bass II
Warwick Star Bass

thought they were Elixirs, the coating is peeling off and it looks like skin coming off my strings.
