Hi, i started this thread in "the Pit" and was redirected here by an admin. So I will just copy and paste the question.

I am looking for good songs and its not very easy to find them. I usually try it with review sites (metal observer and the likes) or youtube/last-fm. But now I hoped a forum might bring more.

This is the kind of songs I am looking for, I think its easier to give a big list then to try and describe it....

Harvest, Isolation years, Credence, Benighted, Face of Melinda, To bid you farewell, Pattern in the Ivy II etc. - OPETH
Bridge of sighs - Robin Tower
Bother - Stone Sour
Excess baggage - Stained
The Unforgiven, Nothing else Matters - Metallica
Nurt - NIN
Soldier of Fortune - Deep Purple
Hate, Again - Archive
The Burden is mine alone - green Carnatin
Ethernal Rest (especialy the last 5 minutes) - Beatrik
Wish you were here, Comfortably numb - Pink floyd.

It can get a bit ruff as well, (I love Death Metal and black metal as well) though the main essence should be a sad "one man guitar" kinda feeling.

OTHER THEN FROM OPETH AND METALLICA, I DONT KNOW THE BANDS TOO WELL, so if you have other great songs from them as well, please write them too.

Thanks...

Well, thanks for the answer, but how are the beatles in any way what so ever related to the songs I wrote?

They're not. Just try
I'm dancing in the moonlight
It's caught me in its spotlight

Didn't recognize every band you told about, but I understod "the main essence should be a sad "one man guitar" kinda feeling."

Something easy acoustic with that feeling would be Wind Song by Kotaro Oshio, beautiful and easy tune in standard tuning. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s1dWgVlJskY

A little harder piece of music, but still in the same theme would be Ashes In The Sea by Antoine Dufour. It's in a really nice altered tuning. Shouldn't be too hard to figure out tough and if you don't - just google it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QcanWkRbnwQ

Sorry I didnt post for so long.
I have to say that I love both, though the second one was just astounding. I am listening to this kind of songs a lot (like John clark for example), so I am kinda amazed that I never heard of him, especially as this had like 1mil + clicks.

Anyways, not what I was looking for but still glad you shared it
