So, July i am going for intensive jaw/reconstructive surgery. Needless to say ill be out of commision for at least 3 weeks. Ive been trying to figure out shows/movies to watch, but thought i would ask for some help. What would be some good stuff to check out? I like drama shows like Breaking bad, oz, dexter, etc and Simpsons South Park and what not. just to give an idea of my tastes. Really any movies or anything would be appreciated. Also love any mobster movies and crime. Some horror, just whatever. Thanks in advance.

If you've got a console then play L.A. Noire - quite a good game, and it will keep you busy for a good 10-20 hours?

Dr.Who

This. Doctor Who must have done something right to be the longest running sci-fi show ever. There's six "new" seasons that pretty much start from the beginning so you don't have to watch the old stuff. Yes, its sci-fi, but not bad sci-fi. Things blow up, there are monsters, Charles Dickens pops his head in for an episode, its got humor, plot, explosions, deep moral questions, and guys with funny heads. Every episode can also be found online for free with a little digging (but what can't?)

Movies (some of my favorites that you may or may not like):
American Beauty
K-Pax
V for Vendetta
Pitch Black
Tank Girl (this is actually the worst movie ever, and I love it anyways)
Fight Club
Mystery Men (another horrible B-movie that I love)
Saving Private Ryan (there are guns, shutup)
Enemy At the Gates (this movie is horribly historically incorrect but also wonderful)

Edit to Include:
21 (pretty decent, not my favorite but its the only Kevin Spacey movie I've enjoyed since 2000)
American History X (most people have already seen this but if you haven't you should)
SLC Punk (again most people have seen this, but if not, do it)
Gear:
Fender Classic Series 50's Strat
Vox VT15 amp
Bongos

It might be best not to watch this show if you've just had jaw surgery

I'm gonna recommend Peep Show, all seven seasons (so far) are up on Youtube.

Also, I second the Hurt Locker. I totally forgot about that movie! I need to rewatch it. We saw it in English class last semester but I missed a day so there's an entire section of the movie I missed.
