My best I've ever owned has to be my current set-up. It includes my Epiphone Les Paul Special II with Gibson Burstbucker 2 and 3 humbuckers, running through a Dunlop Crybaby Classic wah, and a Boss Power Stack ST-2. It goes directly into a Line 6 Spider III amplifier, with tone settings as follows:

Distortion with Boss Power Stack ST-2: Clean
Distortion without Boss Power Stack ST-2: Insane
Drive: 12:00
Bass: 2:00
Mid: 10:00
Treble: 3:00
Channel Volume: 9:00
Master Volume: Maximum

So, what's your set-up consist of, what's your favorite tone settings, and so on? LET'S HEAR IT!

quite a few borderline 'boutique' pedals

and a whole bunch of other stuff, but that is what gets used the most.

no offense TS, but that's actually a pretty bad setup, with the exception of maybe the wah.

lol my rig needs upgrades. 3 years of playin and i still hav a lil 15 watt. my rig is basically in my sig.

The dean vxp has bill lawrence usa l500xl in the bridge now. and my ibanez gax30 which i somehow get amzing pinch harmonics on the stock pups which make me wonder if they arnt the stock pups cuz i bought the guitar used.
9-46 stings, 1.14 mm tortex picks, rp90 (which is startin to crap out) using digitech grunge setting for distortion thru the clean channel on my amp. and dunlop classic wah that i rarely use.

im lookin at amp heads and cabs tryin to find a good deal on em. lookin for a head that doesnt need any distortion pedal to get a heavy metal distortion. im thinkin bout gettin the poor mans mesa, the b52 at100 tri mode rectifier. still doin research

My current gigging setup:
- Ibanez S670 FM
- Modified VGS Screech in Drop C
- Modtone wah pedal
- Digitech Bad Monkey
- Cool DD-100 Delay (no, really. There's a Belgian brand called Cool, they make awesome pedals)
- Highly customised Valveking.

It may not be the best rig here, but it's definately unique and sounds good to my ears.
Ceci n'est pas une signature.

What I've got right now.

Mesa Mark IV Short combo with EVM12L

TC G Major
BB Preamp
RMC Wizard Wah
Soon to be ADA Flanger clone I'm building

MusicMan JP7 and Axis SS
Ibanez S540
Charvel Model 3

Best rig I've ever had is the rig I have now:

Guitars:

·Fender Limited Edition "Splattercaster" Strat loaded with a Seymour Duncan Hot Rails in the bridge position.
·Charvel Model 4 Equipped with a Jackson neck.
·Charvel Pro-Mod Wild Card in Dead Calm Aqua

Amps/Cabs:

·Jet City JCA100h head
·Jet City JCA48s 4x12 cab
·Krank Rev Jr. 1x12

Pedals/Effects:

Not gonna list all of them, but my main ones are:

·Ibanez TS-9
·Line 6 M-9
·Dunlop Cry Baby
·EbTech LLS2 (needed in order to use M9 in FX loop of my amp)

Unfortunately I can't use all of my pedals at the same time because I am currently short on cables.

But yeah, it's no boutique setup, but it's the best rig I've owned yet.

And we've got the TS bragging about a Boss Distortion pedal going into a Spider.

Probably my current gig setup.

Guitars:

1973 Gibson SG standard with bigsby trem
Gibson Les Paul studio faded
Fender Baja Telecaster
Danelectro '59DC 12-string (I want to replace this with a rickenbacker...)

Pedals:

Nobels PRE-1 preamp
Marshall ED-1 compressor
EHX small stone
Marshall JH-1 overdrive
Boss DS-2 distortion

(yes, i know my pedals are a bit of a weak link in my signal chain!)

Amp:

Laney VC30 combo - modded with a celestion G12H30 speaker, JJ EL84s in the power section, and a JJ 12AX7, Tung sold 12AX7 and a JJ 12AT7 in the preamp - the 12AT7 i put in just as an experiment, but it seemed to enhance the dynamic response of the amp a lot whilst making the overdrive kinda "cleaner" sounding without actually reducing the amount of drive it gets, which is great for clarity - it's got some great note separation.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.

Probably my current setup, a bunch of rg's, mainly a 550 with evo's , into a isp decimater, maxon od808 overdrive for a boost, phase 90, into a mesa single rectifier.
A bunch of RG's
]Ibanez RG2550Z
1990 Ibanez rg550
ZW Buzzsaw
Ibanez: s470
Jackson: RR Flying V
Charvel: 90's model sunburst
Jackson Stealth
Mesa Boogie Solo 50
Sunn cab

I must have missed that part, can you show me where the TS was 'bragging' about anything?

Everything I own is mediocre. Which makes me sad

Blackstar HT-5
Agile Interceptor Pro 727/Schecter C-1 Elite
Digitech Bad Monkey
MXR 10-band
Arion delay
#25
I don't know about 'best', but the one I miss the most was a 1959 ES-335 and matching year Fender twin reverb.
#26
I'm calling troll on the OP. But anyway, my rig is as follows:

Guitars:
ESP LTD MH-1000 NT
ESP LTD EC-1000
Agile Septor Elite 727

Amps:
Mesa Boogie Single Rectifier 50w "Series 2" Solo Head
Fractal Audio Axe Fx (Preamp)
Carvin DCM150 (Poweramp)

Cabinet is a Soldano 4x12 straight cab.

My rig is pretty awesome since I got all of it before I turned 17. I've got a custom guitar from Daemoness in the works now to replace the Agile, and I'll probably upgrade the Carvin to a decent VHT, Fryette or even the Carvin TS100. Also going to sell the Mesa and the EC, and probably sell off the MH for a Horizon NT-II or a decent Carvin. And perhaps get an Axe FX II sometime down the road. After that I think my rig will be complete.
#27
A stock Ibanez S420 straight into a Peavey Bandit 112.

Better than a Roland 30W bass combo.
#29
PRS CE22
Mesa Tremoverb w/ 2x12 cabinet
Xotic BB Preamp
Maxon OD9
MXR Carbon Copy
Ernie Ball Wah

I sold it all over the course of 2010-2011

the twin reverb wasn't introduced until 1963.

although i'm guessing you're referring to the tweed covered twin-speaker thing they made in 1959 that later developed into the twin reverb, as opposed to being 'that guy' that says "omg lol i used to own a 1965 gibson les paul!"

Gibson Les Paul 2010 Standard straight into a Marshall Vintage Modern 2266H through a Marshall Vintage Modern 425A cab. Pure classic rock.
#39
ENGL Powerball
Orange PPC212
EHX Holy Grail, ISP Decimator and other fx.
Carvin DC 400 Anniversary
Ibanez Xiphos 7 string
Fernandes Ravelle X

Would be awesome to get a midi foot control to control switching all my pedals. Too much to hit at once for some sounds.

Right in one. It's easier than explaining. I suppose it would make more sense here to mention exactly what it was but quite frankly most folks don't know the difference. (Nor did I, until many years after the fact.)

I do not, and have never, owned a '65 Les Paul...
