I started, waiting too soon cause you’re just passing through
I’ve got an empty bed and a cabinet full of booze
You can drive home in the morning if you choose.

We can, visit all the places that we used to go
You will, light up all the signs that used to glow
We’ll drive slow on the roads that we know.

We will, run to the field and play our favorite game
We can come home after dark and have no one to blame
Don’t worry, everything here is still the same.

We’ll be as we’ve always been
We’ll be as we’ve always been
We’ll be as we’ve always been.

Very nostalgic (compliment). I like it. However, I think the commas after "We can/You will" are a little pointless.
BEWARE THE BANANA ARMY.

I SAY, I SAY, BEWARE THE BANANA ARMY.

They say when they finally attack, all the impostors will peel themselves. In order to tell if you have been assimilated, check for a zipper somewhere near your pelvis.
