I'm thinking about getting the Dime Time pickups on my Dean Vendetta XM. I just want someone's honest opinion, so I can decide whether or not to get'em.

I've been going with the pickups from Guitarfetish lately (partially because I have very little income) and I've yet to be disappointed.

The Dean Dime Time pickup is just a neck pickup and it's not that good.

What's so bad about them?

Usually "bad" means a pickup is not clear, has too harsh of a high end, or is just boomy.
Then there's this band called Slice The Cake...

Bunch of faggots putting random riffs together and calling it "progressive" deathcore.
Stupid name.
Probably picked "for teh lulz"

I just found it to be a dull, lifeless sounding pickup. Nothing like the Seymour Duncan '59 model neck pickup that Dime actually used. Dean developed the Dime Time after Dime was killed.

Thanks for clearifying, I wasn't sure what he meant by "bad"
