Anyone know a good place in county Durham (UK) to get a good set up, also how much should I be paying for one roughly?

Cheers

No it's just a Strat with a normal trem bridge

Surely that would be easy for you to do yourself?
Take a look at the set-up thread.

i don't know anyone in your area but a good set up where i live (leicester) is about £30 for a standard strat.

find a reputable tech by recommendation of possible. don't take it to one of the big music shops, they usually have the sales guys do it in a back room with no training.
I've been imitated so well I've heard people copy my mistakes.

Hey buddy - good to see someone local. ( i live in near spennymoor )

The few places i know is EBGB in Durham near the bus station. A old guy in there with a proper workshop will do a great job. Maybe a little expensive but very trust worthy. It would cost me £65 for a brand new setup with new gauge of strings. However mine is a floating trem tho - so expect it to be cheaper.

Another place is JG windows in the metro centre (If its busy you will be referred to the one in newcastle) for about £15 quid including strings (for a trem) maybe it would cost about a £10er for you.

There is another place in spennymoor. The rock school i think its called. Basically a loft conversion with a guy. He should be able to do it if you ring him up. Just depends whats local and whats available to you.

These we're the prices given to me a couple of months ago so i dont know if they have changed
