Yesterday, I did my first gig with my new 6505+ 112 combo, and thought I'd make a quick post about a couple of things.

Firstly, the gig was an outdoor festival and the amp coped easily!! I know, through my own research on this very forum before I bought the amp that 'is it loud enough to gig with' is one of the questions, and the answer is a resounding yes!! I play in a metal band and it was crystal clear with the post volume on 4 and the pre on 6!! Such a great tone achieved as well, I'm really happy with it!!

Secondly, I just wanted to add that I found this forum a huge help when doing my research into the 6505's and wanted to chuck out a quick thanks to those that contribute!! Hopefully, I'll be able to add my bits n pieces as I get more experience using the amp in gigging situations!!

cheers! :-)

it's so cool to hate Gibson, even the federal Department of Justice hates them.
