Hey guys,

I restringed my friend's acoustic-electric with new strings and now it's a lot quieter than it was before when plugged into an amp. The cable doesn't seem to be making any cracking sounds and I'm fairly sure the 9volt battery isn't dead.

Any ideas?

I don't know the exact model but it very closely resembles this guitar:

Did you string it with nylon or steel strings?

This might sound weird, but is the cable plugged all the way in? I so, pull it out a tiny bit. My guitar gets like that and sometimes it's actually plugged in too far or something, but it sounds perfect when I pull it out a bit
