Hellooooo everybody. My plan is to be a Squier Affinity Strat, strip the hardware off of it and replace with better quality stuff, which will happen to be gold. I will then proceed to throw some Dimarzios (probably True Velvet Ts) in it. BUT, i am stumped whether i should go white on white, or black on black

Black if it's gold hardware.
But personally I'd go chrome on white

Edit: Actually, make that butterscotch!

I really like the looks of gold on butterscotch, but I've always loved butterscotch Tele's. My uncle has a vintage one he bought when he was about 16.

Yeah same here, I'm not sure what it is about them, but they just seem right for some reason.

hmm i didnt even think of butterscotch and gold. i'd hafta make sure i did a good job finishing it though. from what ive heard, squier coats the poly on pretty good so i'd have to do an ace sanding job for a trans butterscotch.

EDIT. tbh if i was gonna do butterscotch, i'd probably go with black or chrome hardware. i must admit the butterscotch on maple is pretty nice. i dunno if i can pull it off with a squier though

Dude, go white and put a bigass bigsby on it and funktify the pickguard in some crazy sparkledy gold with a big birdy thingy on it, put some sparkledy gold binding on and put a gretsch logo on the headstock and pass it off as the new Gretsch White Falcon
