Title is simple. If you sing in a band, solo, in the shower, etc., who do you think/have been told you sound like?

I sound like Jack White while singing. I'm singing in a band thats covering Zep's Good Times Bad Times, and I make it sound like a White Stripes song, vocal wise.

I've heard everyone from Bowie to Hendrix to Lennon to Morrison. Even Elvis and The Man In Black.

Personally I think it's crap as I'm nowhere near as good as any of them, but all I know is it's low and bass-baritone, and its highest note is an F# above Middle C on a good day.

Singing normally? I sound like shit.

I tend to switch between vocal styles alot. My deeper voice is reminiscent of Nick Cave. My speaking voice sounds like Jon Vance. My gently singing voice sounds like Guy Picciotto (in certain songs) and my screaming/shouting voice sounds like a mix of Kurt Cobain and Cedric Bixler-Zavala (circa ATD-I)

I don't sing around people, so no one tells me. I have a bit of an awkward sounding voice. Deeper, but not too deep.

I sing along to lots of Beatles, Band of Horses, Wintersleep, The Smiths, and Minus the Bear. I try my best to match the pitches, sounds, etc. I can't do harsh vocals at all, so I don't try and sing along to the heavier music I like.

Except 3 Inches of Blood. BLOODY TERRIBLE FALSETTO WOOOOOSSSSHHH!!!!

I know I don't sing well, but I enjoy it, at least.

Dave Mustaine.

Sure there not the best vocals but it is fun to sing like that.
The gun in my mouth was real.
And the taste?

I kind of have my own style, but I'd have to say, if I sing like anyone it's definitely Howard Jones, and as far as screams mine tend to sound a LOT like Randy Blythe's.

Sadly, post-2003 Davey Havok. But I can also wreck any King Diamond song, I can screech like Ihsahn, and growl like any shitty deathcore band you can think of.
#20
I'm a bass-baritone so I have a lower timbre usually. People don't tell me who I sound like but I think I kind of sound like Warrel Dane. Or Jim Morrison and Danzig.

that's not so bad. Ornette Coleman's playing sounds like a flock of seagulls.

Apparently I sound like a mix between Amy Lee and Macy Gray o_o Or Angela Gossow, if I'm doing harsh vocals.

As a person with a horrible voice and does not sing because of it. I think I will just sound like a bad singer.
The content of this signature is pretty much irrelevant
#38
I don't have an original voice. I can imitate others pretty well though. For example, I can sing Wonderwall exactly like whichever Gallagher sang it.
