Trinity 18 watt head.
Wich cab would sound the best with it? Some home use and jams.

Would a 1x12 be sufficient? Or a 2x12 would be better?
I'd like something quiet, I know a 18watt plexi won't be quiet but you know what I mean

Thanks

1x12 is how they came out originally but they sound great through a 2x12". Preferably loaded with greenbacks.

a 1x12 works fine.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Any 1x12 will sound good? I've heard that closed back sound better, is it true?
Can I get a decent one for 250$ and under?

i think closed backs sound great. i think open backs sound good too though, it's sorta preference there.

but don't go with a cheap POS cab. i use a thick marshall jcm800 112 cab and have an emperor 112 on the way. one with a G12H and the other with a V30. the marshall with the v30 sounds great with it.

i've also used it with a closed back avatar 212, G12H & Lead 80. and that sounded good.

cath likes greenbacks with it, i can see that sounding good too. that's probably what it came with back in the day, i haven't checked.

my emperor cab was $275 unloaded, my jcm800 112 cab was $200 used, with the speaker. i'm sure you could find something decent at $250.

The 1958 came with 2x10, the 1973 with 2x12 and the 1974 was a 1x12. And yes they were greenbacks. All open backed. The 1974 is the one Marshall reissued.
