When I took the strings off my SG, I noticed the tailpiece was a bit loose. Should I tighten it or would it be ok if I just left it as it is?

Tailpiece isn't locked onto the guitar from my experience. so when you take the strings off, the tail piece comes off aswell.

Yeah, it should be okay then. First time I found out it came off I left the high E on and messed with the tailpiece, it's sorta like a messed-up reverse trem. xD Doesn't work with more than one string on to my knowledge though.

Nah, I prefer to tune lower. My tunings usually go into weird Hebrew symbols.

what a relief! you wouldn't think I picked up the guitar 3 years ago and I still feel like a noob at changing strings, cleaning etc
