If i were to get a Tiny Terror, my rig would be Les Paul -> OCD -> MXR 10 band -> Terror -> Avatar 2x12. Would this be able to get a wide range of hard rock sounds and some heavy chug as well? Or would i be better off just getting a Jet City JCA20/22?
Thanks!

Vht looks nice but it's a little out of my price range... I wish though.
The JCA 22h is it worth the extra? What does it really offer that makes it better than the 20? They both have the SLO lead rite?

No, the 20H is based off the Atomic 16, which has a fairly different sound.

The 22H has the Atomic 16 for its 'clean' channel and the SLO preamp for its lead.

If you like the orange crunch, you ain't going to get it out of anything else.

My Tiny Terror with a boost produces a heavy heavy tone.

I've never played a Tiny Terror but I'd imagine that would give you a killer stoner metal sound, a la The Sword

+1 if you have that orange fever, nothing else will cure you.

+1,000. i have the dual terror, but TT+boost can get really heavy. people totally underestimate it.

Is the TT with boost and eq going to be better than the JCA 22h lead channel?
For hard rock at least?

^^^^ Yes. Hell Yes.

EDIT: But as a disclaimer, i'm not a huge jet city amps fan.

yes. mine loves the MI audio Blues Pro. tried a dozen OD's with it and it is just magical, with the blues pro.

i owned the oridional JCA20 at the same time as my Dual Terror, and the JCA was gone in two weeks, and oddly enough the DT is the amp i play most often. partially due to mostly playing in the middle of the night.

Thanks trashed and others.
Is the Dual Terror worth it? Will it give more clean headroom?
It is a budget stretch, as i am going to get a 2x12 as well for it.

i think the jca20 is a great bet for the money.

the tiny terror and dual terror are good but not so much better that it's worth the extra cost..

although the dt will give you a lot more clean headroom.

I was definitely considering the dark terror as an option- I'm just skeptical of whether it will have a nice tone. I think a Dual/Tiny may suit my needs. I'm gonna have to wait until I can play the Dark terror though.
Dual Dark Terror = sex.

i personally would not have bought a tiny terror, if the dual wassn't available. i recommend the 30 watts for headroom, which when you switch it to half power mode (15w like the standard TT) you can tell that you cleans go away and become a little dirtier.

i use both channels equally, sometimes boosted on either some not at all. if you are really going to crank it (and its damn loud), you can hear that power section starting up a little bit/maybe moderately, that is really nice.

i have uesd my DT and PPC 212OB for all sorts of practices/jams and its really handy, it will fit into my trans am, which nothing fits in there if anybody has owned one.

its not a gigging rig for me, but this way i don't have the hassle of finding a friend with a truck.

Looks like the Dual Terror should be the one for me. Humbucker music has them for only like 630 USD too. Thx.
