So I was thinking of my favorite live bands and I thought it would be funny to see some Popular bands/ musicians mess up really bad during their live show. Now i don't mean like Steven Tyler falling off the stage, I'm talking about screwing up the music. Have you ever seen it happen? Post vids if you can find em.

Cheers

Mars Volta opening for RHCP. They screwed up so hard that they marched off the stage after 2 songs. Their sound was terrible and everyone was booing. They claimed someone threw something at them, so thats why they left the stage. But to me, that's a poor excuse to cancel a performance, people throw stuff all the time. It was prolly just a reason to get off because it was a bad show for them.

I was going to make a joke about Dimebag really screwing up that solo playing with Damageplan in 2004, but I guess that wouldn't be greatly appreciated in the pit...

Heres a good one

At the ramones last show they had deedee come back for a song, he stuffed it pretty bad(but marky, johnny and cj were tight enough to cover it up pretty well)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6ZXvbd2nvIo

heres what it should have sounded like(its not live, but the ramones sounded close to there albums, just a lot faster)

well, no disrespect to david gilmour, he is fantastic since forever.....but at his performance in may with waters (comfortably numb), he actually played the epic-er solo pretty badly, and i think he messed up the lyrics as well....but just a bad day, i guess....

That was Bonnaroo 2009. It was funny. Everyone in the crowd just laughed. They played an awesome set after that mishap though!

TDWP's drummer can hardly play their new stuff live.

Videos all over youtube. I don't care whether The Pit thinks they're huge, but they most certainly have a massive following.
I've bought, sold, and traded more gear than I care to admit.

There's a bootleg of Radiohead live at Golden Gate Park where Thom Yorke starts cracking up at the beginning of "You and Whose Army?" Actually, the whole show is plagued with sound problems, but the band's pretty okay about it.

That and Omar's equipment was malfunctioning. He smashed his guitar on account of it. Honestly, they don't seem to care about messing up. Most of their shows consist of them not playing their songs and just making noise. And it was a bottle of piss that was thrown at them.

I believe Adrian starts playing The Wicker Man in the wrong place in the setlist, catching most of the band off guard, then Bruce has a bit of a go at him in good fun.

At the Rockpalast show in 2009, Dio sang the second verse to Heaven and Hell first while playing with Sabbath. He claims "You don't want to hear the same thing every time." Tony and Vinnie look like they have a laugh about it too.
