Hey, I bought an Epiphone SG G400 as my first guitar and a Roland Cube 80XL.

I love blues, and I wanted to ask what are the characteristics of B.B.'s tone? EQ, Gain, Reverb, etc..

I know it all comes down to the fingers, but he would never be able to play The Thrill Is Gone with a death metal distortion. He would, but it wouldn't sound the same. Well, you know where I want to get to.

Thanks for the info!

Gibson LAB amplifiers are BB's preferred SS amps. He'd use a Twin as a substitute if these aren't available. (He used to tour and only carry his guitars - no amps!) LAB amps have be discontinued since the late 70's or so.
Moving on.....

BB king's tone is just a very dry, transparent clean sound. that's pretty much it. if you've got a roland cube, just use the JC clean setting.
I like analogue Solid State amps that make no effort to be "tube-like", and I'm proud of it...

...A little too proud, to be honest.
