RESULTS POSTED.

i grabbed 3 guitars and weighed them.

Which was heaviest, lightest etc? And what were the approx weights?

1. 1997 PRS Custom 24
2. 2011 Gibson 60's tribute LP Studio
3. Old assed Fender Strat.

Tomorrow I will post pics of them on the scale to let people around the globe play along, trust me no shenanigans were played with the scale.

I was sorta surprised by the results, i think some of you would be too.

Come on guys, nobody wants to play?

don't be afraid of getting it wrong, i just thought it would be something aside the "get the EMG Shecter, or Agiles > Gibson for the price!" crap.

PLAY THE GAME!!!

Prs Custom 24 7lbs 8oz
LP 7lbs 4oz
Strat 7lbs 1oz

I looked at Wildwood's stock and figured out a general area they would be in
'And after a while, you can work on points for style.
Like the club tie, and the firm handshake,
A certain look in the eye and an easy smile.'

'You have to be trusted by the people that you lie to,
So that when they turn their backs on you,
You'll get the chance to put the knife in.'

Gibson Les Paul Studio: 7 lbs, 4 ounces.
Strat: 6 and three-quarter lbs.
Ceci n'est pas une signature.

If it's a 70's Strat it'll be surprisingly heavy

We think its a 60-61 from the serial number.
#13
From heaviest to lightest:

Les Paul
PRS
Strat

Just a guess, but I could imagine it the other way round too.
#14
well i already know the weight of the LP

imma guess the strat as heaviest and LP as lightest, with PRS in the middle.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

1. 1997 PRS Custom 24
2. 2011 Gibson 60's tribute LP Studio
3. Old assed Fender Strat.

im going with heaviest to lightest:
1 - strat
2 - gibson LP
3 - PRS custom

i have an old 57 RI strat and it has some weight to it compared to other strats. i feel like gibson might use cheaper woad or something on a newer model guitar... just cause ive seen them do it on some...
#20
I want to be like those assholes on "the price is right" and just add a 1 in front :/

Id say if its the chambered LP....

PRS -> Gibson -> Fender, fenders are usually lighter but yeah, guitars do vary tho
Gibson 58 RI VOS Custombuckers
Mesa Lonestar Special 2x12

it looks orange. most fiesta reds do too after some aging. it was done (refinished) in the 70's, i have no idea what color it really is/was. could have been fiesta red but there is no way to tell.
#36
Screw the weights, moar pics of that strat!

edit: quick-replied from first page, but sweet guitar.
