Who is your guys favorite poets? I've always loved poetry but was wondering who your favorites were and why. Have fun and try to keep it somewhat serious! Starting off My personal Favorites are Allen Ginsberg because he really caught the senses of the time he was in but can still be relevent in todays time, I've always like dylan thomas too, and bob dylan I have always considered my top poet though many may say he's a musician/songwriter to me he's one of the best poets out there and of all time. Peace guys

Keats and Cummings.

LOVE Cummings, particularly "anyone lived in a pretty how town."

There's also some local poets in the Denton area who put a book together, but I can't remember either of their names. The book is called "The Church of the Hair of the Dog" though.

There's a guy named, I shit you not, Hunter Goldhammer. I have never met him, I only heard his name over the PA, but I assume he's a dwarf paladin.

Such a bro.

He totally was. What is Holy Sonnet X but a "Come at me, Bro!" directed at Death.

If you dig Ginsberg, just read Walt Whitman, since that's basically who Ginsberg tried to be. Check out William Blake, too.

The only Ginsberg I still like is "A Supermarket in California."

William Blake and William Carlos Williams.

must be the name.

It's pretty much the ultimate name for poets. It channels the power of William Shakespeare, the greatest of poets.

William Butler Yeats is another really great William.

William Wordsworth was an important William, but I think he's kinda boring. Samuel Taylor Coleridge is more fun, 'cuz he was a drug addict.

William Blake is good too, but I'd be lying if I said I was too familiar with his work.
