Epiphone Les Paul? Low end Epi's aren't all that great, but they're cheap and they'd work for Punk.

Dude, just stick with bass. If you got the patience for it, you shouuld totally do it. Bassists are badass. It's like *rumble rumble rumble rumble*(metal something), but then like *pow chicka pow chow*(funk), and then *barooooooooooooom* (sliding down the neck). But then, you get super duper badass stuff like in the lemon song.

Epiphone Les Paul, anymodel even the Special II's and the Juniors.

I play in a punk band and I use an Epiphone Les Paul Standard, trust me it will fit your needs well. You can probably get a used Epi Studio for $200.
