hey all.

I want to swap the tubes out of my amp.

I play through a Marshall 1923 head.. basically a DSL 50

I feel my amp is a little harsh and not enough lower mids

what are good tubes that are more creamy smooth, fuller sounding, and less muddy ??

JJs to darken and smoothen out the amp IMO.

Also are you swapping both preamps and powers?

Try your preamps first... particulary the V1 position.

Unless you crank the crap outta your volume, chances are the preamp tubes will have greater impact on your tone as compared to your power tubes.
