Everytime Im about to adjust my truss rod I make sure im turning the right way. I know its the truss rod because Ive been messing with it due to it being shipped here from Japan.

If my frets 1-3 are buzzing (through the amp) the neck is to tight and I need to relieve tension on the neck by turning the truss rod counter clockwise?

Tightening the trussrod nut clockwise pulls the trussrod against the strings, reducing relief. Loosening the trussrod nut counterclockwise reduces the trussrod's pull against the strings, increasing relief. Good luck.
