According to the tab book it's 'Open Dsus down 1/2 step.' It just doesn't sound right to me. The low Gb is barely being picked up. Can anyone confirm this tuning for me, or at least comment as to why it's sounding strange. I'll have to try it through my bass amp and see if any improvement appears.

For those of you wondering, the tab book is 'The Illusion of Progress' by Staind. I'm playing on a PRS SE baritone guitar.

Thanks guys!

Open Dsus2 is DADEAD, so tuning this a half step down is totally different from your tuning.

It's weird, 'cause for your tuning to be Dsus2 a half-step down, it would definitely need an Eb (the sus2 part) and no Gb.

open Dsus4 tuning is DADGAD. Half step down would be DbAbDbGbAbDb. Maybe try retuning?

i think Db Ab Db Ab Db Gb is Db major...if my theory serves me well...

and it would be called "open Db maj "

there's no Gb in Db maj, Gb is in D Maj

In my opinion the Gb definitely makes it a Db sus 4
