Here's the deelio,

I have been playing for a bit over a year now and still have my first electric (shitty "Rocker Music tools" strat replica I bought off my friend for 30$) and I'm looking to get an actual good quality guitar in the summer. Now don't get me wrong, my ugly baby of a guitar works fine and , frankly, it is great to play but I still need to get a new guitar.

I also have a classical guitar which was my sister's and it too is pretty shitty but it provided me with something basic to play on before my electric.

Anyways, so I've decided I either need an acoustic to add to my arsenal and/or another electric.

I was looking in the guitar store for hollow body electrics cause I just think they sound great. And 2 guitars caught my eyes. An Epiphone Casino and a Gretsch G5122. The gretsch is $750 and the Casino is $625. Now I'm in a predicament. Which one should I get? I mean I LOVE The Beatles but both these guitars (the casino mostly) have been played by the beatles.

Now, for an acoustic, I was thinking of a budget of around $350 or so. And I found a Yamaha FG720S for $300.

The GOOD thing IS that the gretsch comes with a $100 gift card for the store. Which I can then use to buy an acoustic. Is it worth it?

The Gretsch is 125 dollars more expensive than the casino, so if you buy the casino, think of it as an 125 dollar gift card.

Yeah I think I'll go with the Casino + an acoustic.

I'd explore my horizons a little more, Look into brands like ESP/LTD and SHECTER guitars, then again i don't know what sort of music you play, but ESPS are very very nice guitars for around 450^ish. depends on what your after.

I wouldn't get another acoustic because your already ween'd on electrics but that's entirely up to you. cheers.
wut.

Ok but seriously I guess I can get just the casino but IDK because the casino is only good if it has P90's but idk if this one does!

Well it seems that you're focused on a Beatles style guitar. I can understand wanting to play something similar to your guitar heroes so just get either. Both were played by them and that's a big thing for you. I suggest that you look at their respective specs. You may find that one has some feature you prefer that the other doesn't have.

The GOOD thing IS that the gretsch comes with a $100 gift card for the store. Which I can then use to buy an acoustic. Is it worth it?

Forget about this unless the acoustic you want to buy is in that store too. Otherwise rather just focus mainly on getting a great new electric regardless of $100 saving.

Well that's what I'd do. Up to you.
