So I bought this guitar off a friend of mine and he had a load of stickers on it, all over the guitar. Now the guitar has a gloss finish on it and im just wondering how to get the sticky glue residue from the stickers off it?

Thanks in advance!!

I had the same problem, if you use a hair dryer you can usually peal it right off, and any left over residue you can use nail polish remover.

WD40

unless it's a finish that doesn't like WD40.. but usually there's a good chance it's safe.
Then let it soak and peel off.

DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER!!! It'll work but it will ruin the finish. Badly

Goof off works as well as rubbing alcohol, you'll have to rub a bit, but it works well.

Not true. Bought an ibanez rg570 that someone forged a bands autograph on for 200$. Took it home, nail polish remover on a rag wiped the permanent marker right off and you'd never know it was ever there

True. Everything I have used nail polish remover on has been ruined except when trying to clear sticker gunk on a game case that was already clear. If you had luck that's fine, but I wouldn't take the chance

Well I just cleaned off some masking tape sticky shit off of the warmoth I just sprayed with nitro about a month ago. The nitro is perfectly fine and the masking tape residue is gone. Are you sure you're using nail polish remover and not hydrochloric acid?

Lol I'm pretty sure since it says right on the bottle "Nail Polish Remover". Just use WD40. It will work just fine and you won't run the chance of damaging anything
