So, I love stand up comedy. Im sure a good amount of you pitmonkeys do as well. I gotta hand it to these people who can stand in front of thousands of people spewing out stupidity of reality for an hour or more. So who are your favorites

My list would have to include Jim Gaffigan, Kyle Cease, Louis CK, The blue collar guys (strictly stand up) and Dane Cook. YES I LIKE DANE COOK. who do you like

I love Demetri Martin's work
I think I saw most of his stand up, I watched the important things series and I just finished reading this is a book.
Other than that I wouldn't really call myself a fan of stand up. Louis CK can be hilarious though. I just started watching his new show Louie and it's funny.

Louis CK is my favorite standup comic. I saw Aziz Ansari and Kevin Hart live last year at my university and they were both hilarious.

Also, this thread needs more Bo Burnham.
#18
The best show I've ever seen was Stewart Lee - that guy is an absolute genius.

My favourite comedian is probably Dylan Moran, I'd love to see him at some point.

anyone hear ben baileys standup (Cash cab dude)... freakin hilarious

Most of my favs have already been mentioned. I like Frankie Boyle to some extent (he was great on Mock The Week), when he isn't simply wallowing in depravity for the hell of it.

Dov Davidoff is funny in that it seems like he doesn't know where he is most of the time.

I just remembered he used to be on All That

Sorry, but I absolutely loathe Frankie Boyle
#23
Anyone say Dave Chappelle yet? I think he does pretty good stand up, even though he can be serious sometimes.

Don't care if its been said a million times before, Louis CK is the funniest comedian I've ever heard in a long time.

Lee Mack could impregnate my mother, then fuck the child infront of my eyes and I'd still find him funny.
I prefer him when he just does stand up though

I will be completely honest with you... I hate stand up comedians. I don't find any of them funny and they all bore me to death... including people like Lee Evans.

I do have my flameshield handy, by the way.

Lee Evans is a tunc and only mindless idiots find him funny (from my experience). Peter Kay is awful as well now.

Anyway, I would say: Stewart Lee, Jimmy Carr, Billy Bailey, Dara O'Brian. I would love to see more of Bill Hicks and Dylan Moran though, as I love the small amount of stuff I have seen by them.

I like Kauffman too. Any type of anti-humor and comedic-Dadaism is cool with me.
