Quick question, does anyone know how much a Gibson Les Paul classic gold top double cut would be worth?

It is only worth what someone will pay you for it.

2009 Epiphone G-400 (SH-4)
Marshall JCM2000 DSL100

You that's the one. Thanks for your help, and yeah it's used

I came up with that price by looking on the one on the Gibson site, and just removing a little bit on the value since it's used , but it isn't correct - AFAIK. Seems like people have found these ones new on musiciansfriend.com for $1999. Don't know what finish, though.

goldtop makes it slightly more valuable but it's still up to the buyer.

there's a DC LP on my clist for $550 that he just cannot sell for the life of him.
I wondered why the frisbee was getting bigger, then it hit me.

Gibson's MSRP is never the price you pay new.
For comparisons sake look at a Traditional Plus - it's MSRP is $3449. This guitar retails for $2350 and about $2150 or so in the US.
Applying that logic to the Double Cut classic it would also be $2100-2400 new. Therefore used in the US or Canada would be under 2K. How much depends upon condition and how old the guitar it self is.
Moving on.....

We need more information about the guitar before you can put a price on it. What year is the guitar? How good of shape is it in? Is it all original? We on UG can date the guitar by the serial number if you don't know it

Yeah sure, made in 2003, perfect condition apart from some scratches on the gold top, nothing major though. Everything is original.

a 2003 wouldn't be named like the ones available now.
