I wanna see if I can boost my drive channel on my Fender Hot Rod with a Metal Zone. I know a handful of guitarists that have used this but just wondering how well it may work in my setup. I've also got a DS-1 if that may be more applicable.

You can boost any channel of any amp with a pedal, so long as it has a level control (in the sense of an OD or EQ). Whether or not it will sound any good depends on the pedal and your ears.
Maximum volume yields maximum goats.

I'ma say no on this one. An OD or TS would be more suitable.

yeah a ds1 might work better. but i mean if you already have them just try it and see how it sounds.
I'm an idiot and I accidentally clicked the "Remove all subscriptions" button. If it seems like I'm ignoring you, I'm not, I'm just no longer subscribed to the thread. If you quote me or do the @user thing at me, hopefully it'll notify me through my notifications and I'll get back to you.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.
