I've decided I'm going to completely strip down my Epiphone G-310 SG and put a brand new finish on it, just because the current cream color is dreadfully boring

And this is what I want to do:

Only, it would be like this:

Anybody know where I can find paint this color? I've been looking and I really can't find anything.

So, I guess I just want to know what you guys think, or if anybody has any other suggestions, I'd appreciate that.

EDIT: And I have never done anything remotely like this before in my life...So if someone could just give me the basic steps of doing a project like this, I would appreciate it very much
Guitars:
-Gibson Les Paul Custom Shop Silverburst (Invader/'59)
-Fender Standard Telecaster HH Black (SH-5/'59)
-Fender Standard Stratocaster HH White (Nazgul/'59)

-Ovation ApplauseAE44II Elite Black Acoustic

Since you have several guitars, and that cream really does fall rather flatly on the eyes, I think you should do it. My advice is to be prepared to do it several times. I've done a wee bit of painting, and thought I was not too bad at it, until I tried doing a guitar. Unless you are trying to get that frankinstien look, its Really Easy to spot the tiny boo boos. So I find myself sanding more than painting, and frustrated that its a lot of sanding, so I leave it for a while, than I'm frustrated that the project is taking months. Of course, if no-one else gets within six feet of your guitar, no worries, they wont see the mistakes.

I have to admit I really want a les paul in that type of green burst now, it looks awesome

I suggest you find a decent sized piece of scrap wood and do a test run on that. Obviously it won't be quite the same as the guitar itself, but it will at least give you a feel for what you want to do and what you don't. Since it's your first paint job I'm pretty sure you'd rather screw up a random piece of wood than the guitar itself. Hopefully it turns out good.

Yeah, I was thinking about, and I think I'm just going to do a solid lime green. And also, I actually won't be doing this alone, my dad is gonna help me out, and he's actually built a few guitars of his own.

And also, I really can't seem to find paint of that color, and it's pissing me off, man.

It's a lot of work for an Epi G-310

Thanks for pointing out the obvious, but wouldn't it be a lot of work for any guitar?

So, does anybody know where I can get lime green paint??? I can't really find it anywhere

Hi. Can someone tell me which guitars are real 24 fret guitars and which are just 22 fret guitars with 2 extra frets added on?
