Hey here are a couple riffs I recorded at home, in the software Mixcraft 5^^
Guitar: Ibanez RG5EX1, into my Line 6 Pod UX2
Bass: Peavey bass (not sure what model), into UX2
Drums: Toontrack EzDrummer

New Riff 3

not bad dude. I liked riff 3 more.. guitars/drums could be EQ'd tighter, kick needs a boost in the 60-70-hz area, low pass on the guitars at probably 9-10khz - stuff like that

damn thats a pretty good critique Sggod, i wont try to top that, lol. From a not nearly as in depth look, id say the overall playing seemed good, i mean stuff seemed articulate and clean. The one part, and i know this happens alot, immediately reminded me of something (happens to me constantly, lol..) right at 1:20ish . But it went good with the rest of it, so is what it is. Got my foot stompin, lol. I dont record enough full stuff to really go into the depth maybe needed, but how bout some words! Oops, talkin bout riff 3!!!!

Well done. Not my sort of style of guitar, but I like the arrangement, drums sound good. Riff 2 keeps moving well, didn't get bored. Nice.

Thanks for the advice! I'll look into that, I think there's a low-pass built into Mixcraft, I'll have to experiment with that. But the drums are already EQ'd inside EzDrummer I don't think you can EQ the pieces of the kit separately :/

Riff 3: I love how it starts, the chords just come into your face. Good job with that. This sounds very 90s alt. rock and that's awesome. The two guitars compliment each other well, so that was well done. I can really hear vocals over this one man, work more on this and make it a full song. Good job

Riff 5: Haha, I thought the intro was gonna be Sweet Child O' Mine :P Dude I really like your lead lick, it's not boring and it's well done bro. You just need continue with these songs and they'll be awesome GOOD JOB MAN. PM me once you've got more of the stuff, I'd love to hear it

Here's my stuff if you'd like to share the love https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1457740
