Are they all created equal?

If not, what are some of the better ones?

Thanks

There are cheap ones that break and don't sound good, and ones with active and passive circuitry. And even high gain volume pedulz.

I had a Morely Aligator vol pedal and it was real nice and not to expensive.

The Morleys are really good. They use an opto arrangement like on the wahs so they don't have actuator pots to wear out.

I have a Boss that seems to be built like a tank. My son had a cheapie plastic one that didn't last long. I've had the Boss for quite awhile.

Not to hijack the thread but...
Where does everybody put their volume pedal?
Right now I have mine as the first pedal (After the tuner of course).
Problem is when I lower it, my dirt boxes don't get hit as hard when I lower the volume.
Thinking about putting it and the end.
Just wanted others thoughts on this.

Mine is the last pedal before going out of the pedal board and to the amp.

Edit: This makes sure that the other effects pedals are getting full signal, so they can do their job. Vary their output, not their input.

Yeah.
I'll probably change it later tonight.
I've been thinking about it for awhile. Just been to busy to re-wire my board.
But, after last nights jam....was just annoying as fark.
Got a jam again tonight.
Last night was fun. Had a really good session drummer over. His kit is still in my living room
Also had a really wild bass player over. He's working on a Ozzy/Randy Tribute band thing (He actually got a thumbs up from Rudy Sarzo for it (This is LA after all) ).

I use an expression pedal on my GP-8 assigned to the output volume. So that effectively places it at the last point before the amp.
