I was messing about with the idea of a short instrumental as a sort of introduction to something and this is what came out:

It's the first thing I've properly recorded but I think it sounds quite nice. Let me know what you think.

Nice.

It has overtones of Pink Floyd and something else that I can't quite put my finger on.

Alan Parsons... That's the other one.

Thank you for commenting! Yes haha I guess that's not much of a surprise as I'm a big fan of Pink Floyd and David Gilmour's playing in particular.

I'm very into ambient music, so I quite like what you've made man! It's very Pink Floyd-esque which is awesome because they're one of my favorite bands. The guitar tone is amazing dude, great job. Your soloing skills are amazing as well. I really like the feelings coming through this song and it sounds really nice, if you could just make it a bit longer I really like the piano too btw, brilliant.

Thank you so much for such a kind comment! It means such a lot to be complimented on my playing. I was really happy with the tone and I'm amazed considering I'm not even using a amp - just Line 6 simulation software. It's great to get constructice criticism and yeah I think I should expand the introduction part and add more piano bits and bobs and use the guitar section more as an ending. I think I should increase the volume level of the slide guiatar too - it's a little lost in the mix.

I just had a look a listen to your song electric waves - it's really beautiful - especially the guitar swells. Great work!!

I'm not one to try reserect an old thread but I've made some improvements to the piece. I think it sounds a bit more ambient now. Hope you enjoy:
