How many hours are you taking?
I'm taking pretty standard classes: political science, mechanics, multivariable calculus, US history, some literature course . . .

Well, last semester I had roughly 17 hours a week on average, so not too bad, although I do end up spending a s***load of time on coursework and stuff, pretty hectic. Bear in mind thats the list for the full year, so half in the first semester, half in the second.

Oh, I only sign up per semester (half a year). I almost thought you were taking some bizarre ass 30 hour course load or something.

Thats nothing at all, my last semester was 28 and that was low....

my 2nd year 2nd semester was 39hours of class/week, so it was practically a full-time job of school, with the added fun of labs, homework and midterms!

Uh... holy shit? How is that even possible? At my school the maximum number of units they let anyone take is in the low 20's.

by class im including tutorial hours.

but because we had a huge course load to get through, and none of those were electives, every mechanical engineer 2nd year had to do the same amount.

I took 15 credit hours first semester . . . 14 the second . . . 16 the next . . . I'm pretty astounded. Maybe i don't fully understand what you mean by tutorial hours, but still.

Fall 2011:
Literary Landmarks in English to 1700
Classical Fantasy
Introductory French 1
The Historian's Craft
The United States 1900-1945

Winter 2012:
Introduction to American Literature
Introduction to Psychology
Introductory French 2
Rebellion and Dissent in Medieval Society
European Expansion & Migration

Though I'm waitlisted on one of the 3rd year History courses for the fall, and if I don't get it, I won't be able to take Rebellion and Dissent in Medieval Society as it's a 4th year course and you need a certain number of 3rd year credits first.

This will be my second year towards a History major.
