I agree, I work in a music shop and sell both. The Vyper smokes the frontman, I even bought the 120 wayy tube combo as a practice amp sounds AWESOME. If you like the sound of the solid the tube version rips the solid apart when it comes to tone.

Another thing to mention is the fx are top notch I used to use a pod X3 live all the time and no longer use it with the VYPYR as it sounds great!

Another factor that has grown this myth is a bunch of opinionated guys who really don't know what they're talking about, which to be brutally honest is a bunch of you guys on here.

For what? They're pretty different. One is a modeler, one isn't.

The overall sound quality of the Vypyr is much higher, but it is a different beast. The FM is very straightforward.

The Frontman FM212 DSP was pretty much a modeler. It had Twin, Deluxe, Hot Rod, etc. They all sucked. It also had chorus, reverb, delay, etc. Again. Ditto.

It was however a decent platform for an MFX pedal - which is what I used it for.

Seriously, the Vypyr 60 Twin setting is pretty sexy.

Right now, there are six and a half billion people on earth who don't care what kind of tubes you have in your amplifier
