buying new amp in next 14days...
read tons of reviews, threads on forums and everything , youtube clips...
It's shame I can't try this hi-end amps because we don't have any big shop near.

1.Peavey 6505 - would buy new
2. ENGL Powerball E645 - eBay - mint condition
3. Hughes&Kettner MK1 - mint condition
4. meaby Framus Cobra if auction is good on eBay

I won't say I'm searching for a specific tone- that's bullshit I just want that definition, tightness and really great rhythm sound for metal as everyone does....
I was almost decided for 6505 but It would be nice to play in clean sometimes...

6505 cleans aren't as bad as people say. Probably a lot of that is also because people are using active pickups with the 6505, expecting pristine cleans.
With some good passives, or good EQing with actives, it isn't hard to get decent cleans from a 6505.

Really any of the 4 you listed would be a good choice. You'd be better off to try them all if you can.

Personally, I'd go with either the Powerball or the Cobra... but that's just because both of those really meet the sound I think of when i think of good definition and tightness. YMMV.

Can't say anything about the H&K as I've never played one, and I'm not really a fan of the 6505 tone.

Just note that the Powerball is purported weak in standing out in a band context.

Powerball is totaly out of game atm.
The most I am interested in 6505 and Cobra.
But If I consider 6505 is going to be buyed brand new Cobra on the other half is going to be (if) buyed from eBay/used.
Currently I am willing to buy this ->
http://cgi.ebay.de/Framus-Cobra-Topteil-/150628267658?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D5%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D1177597706506237000#ht_608wt_1139
but I don't know the condition ... I don't want to get screwed.

p.s. Any owner of Cobra selling please contact me. &
if someone has triamp mkI please share the info )

ehhh... if the Powerball is not meant to be considered, then why list it to begin with?

first it was...
But with time and me researching Powerball is definitely not my choice... you're not the first one who said Powerballs have issues with cutting through mix.
Plus after comparing I don't like it's sounding I would prefer Savage much more.

I'd still go for the Cobra over the 6505 anyday.... but that's just because I don't particularly like the sound of the 6505.

so I got another Cobra, for this one I know its condition link below
http://www.youtube.com/user/thehiredgun21

cosmetics are pretty rugged... It would go for 1300$ - 912€ from US + 20%tax = 1560$
1560$ = 1094€

For 1020€ I get new 6505.
I think Im not gonna sleep well haha

Why don't you see if you can drive down and actually see, touch, test, play and taste the amp for yourself? Well... tasting's optional... but maybe it helps you make a better purchase decision?

For most tube amps, unless it looks like it survived Afganistan or Iraq... it'll usually be working fine, altho for me, I would factor in the price of a full retube as a contingency. Someone can claim that they just retubed it... but how can you really tell?

Actually I can't try them all,
1st Live in the countryside so long hour of drive
2- they don't have much hi-end amps, they sure have peavey but not cobra I would have to pre-order and all that stuff to get it.
Don't ask me why there is no competition in SLO market.

This Cobra is pretty ****ed up... I gues it works fine but missing strap, dings, scratches everywhere and If i'm not right he even said he doesn't have a footswitch or something.
So yeah I'll wait both Cobra's auctions to pass and then 6505 definitely.
