Anyone up for a jam? What kind of jam would you like?

  • Own composition?
  • Backing track?

Here's one... will put Darren's and Zanon's here too:

Do with it what you will. Simplistic... minimalist... just there to either go wild or sparse... your call. Key is Gm... Tempo is 90.... to loop it, take out the first bar.

Gary Moore - The loner type ballad?

Or something with balls, like a pumping bass line and punchy rhythm like old Jeff beck.

I want to do this!
Understand nothing, in order to learn everything.

I can write a coherent tune ... But 3/4? I play rock, not polka.

Ok... I'll have something up in a few hours time... it will be very minimalist in backing... but that will be the beauty of it

I'm in.

I could supply a track as well.

I'll do a take after dinner.

Making salmon with roast potatoes in rosemary and asparagus in beurre blanc sauce

Hope my jam will be as tasty.

Uploaded on my profile.

Not overly keen on my playing here but oh well Might do another take later.

Mid way through making a pitch axis backing track too

Ok, I've done mine. I did 4 takes and chose the best. It's alright, shows off some poor vibrato It's on my profile.

I like. Nice phrasing, I like the staccato.

I'd like to give this a shot. How are you guys recording over the backing?

The long way! I download the track. Upload it to Reaper. Edit it (i.e. loop it). Render it as .mp3. Record it to my Korg D4. Plugged the Korg D4 to my amp and record my guitar while the track is playing. I then upload both tracks back into Reaper. Sort out the volume. Render to .mp3

Job's a good un!

I really should buy myself an interface, it'd be so much easier!

I know mine doesnt sound great but i used audacity and i had to use a mic because it sounds horrible from my preamp to the mixer

Shame about the quality, but there were some nice licks in there.
