So, I'm getting sick and tired of replacing the 5 way switch in my Squier, I've put a MIJ import style in there, MIA Fender style, MIJ Fender style, and they've all gone out...by that I mean that when you flip it to a position it wont always make contact, and it crackles and pops when you touch it.

My guitar is about 1 1/2 inches thick, very thin I know, so I need a 5 way, any style, that will fit in there without being crushed.

I'm looking at these two switches, which one would be the best one, or if you know something better, post that. The sites don't give the dimensions of the switches, otherwise I wouldn't ask.

Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Do it, they are amazing. I have them in my squier strat and it fits, barely, but it fits.

IMO avoid the cheap switches. They don't last and they ruin your tone. I've got Dimarzios in all of my guitars and I've never had one go wrong in 5 years. They may be nearly 25 bucks for one switch, but they are worth it.

I fail to see how a switch affects tone...
