alright.
I'm trying to get the ps3 online..
I have an Ethernet cable running between my ps3 and my computer..
I have windows xp.

I really need some help guys

Ethernet cable gives a better connection. But shouldn't you just have to plug it in and play? o.o

If you're going through your pc, you'll need a crossover cable, not your standard ethernet cable

This. Generally if you want to use an ethernet cable, look at your modem, you should have multiple LAN ports. Plug it directly from your PS3 into the modem, or your wireless router if your using one of those
