I think I haven't seen those amps. I'll check again later when I get home.

Yeah, cause I made sure that the rp255 had those amps and effects. I had originally made it for another user(shotclock) and he had the rp255.

hey guys, sorry i was out the whole day, im back now tho

i added the RP family pic but had to get rid of the other pictures cause it wouldn't let me otherwise

actually my favorite distortion is the erm... TS808 overdrive i guess. the sparkledrive is also good. oh and i actually liked the Octavia, it really does sound quite octavia-ish you know, feels like a real fuzz

To Hames Jetfield, those are surely available on RP255, on RP's monitor the first one is showed as 65DLXR, 2nd: TOPBST, 3rd: DIGCLN

To Kutless, I PM'd you already, added the line up there in the thread and I think if you send me the files i'll put them up for online download so everybody can download it and just go thru it

EDIT: i forgot to say that i got the old thread renamed and you guys better change your links in your sigs with the new one's

I already changed my link. Ok, do you want me to send you the files when I'm done with all of the amp models, or should I just send them as i make them?(I already made 5)

prolly send em all at once so that i can host it as a little archive you know

Ok, it'll be about 5-7 days before I'm done.

Um, when I put the tubescreamer in front of the amp model, what should the setting for the tubescreamer be? High gain, low gain, high tone, low tone?

Start with the gain low and the level where you can switch it in and out and the volume doesn't change. Then up the gain and compare it against the unboosted amp, then see where the sweet spot's at. Now set the level where you want, then repeat comparing your gain setting against the unboosted amp. The tone is whatever sounds right to you.

damn i discovered my new recordings weren't compatible with some stereo systems/speakers/call it whatever you want... a lot of them encounters a big phase cancellation issue... can anybody tell me if you had encountered teh thing: the main, rhythm guitar is too quite compared to the rest of the guitar parts like solos and lead stuff...
seems like im gonna have a long day redoing those recordings, posting them and then doing some stuff for this thread...

Hey V, do you think you could put "Kutless' patches for all the amp models" Instead of the old one? Because each patch has a different amp model. I made those patches to demonstrate all of the amp models on the rp355.

Notice anything about this post? Yeah, my sig is gone.
I was trying to edit it and it wouldn't let me save it so now my entire sig is gone Now it barely let's me edit my posts. There's something weird going on here....

Anyway, thanks V for adding the amp model presets.

Anyone want a specific patch from my 355?

Yeah, so I wont have a sig for a while now. I guess I'll just have to wait till theyre done fixing it.

Couple of years Im self taught. But that was honestly pretty poor playing.

I never know what to play when I do demos so I end up doing random shit that doesn't sound good

And V yeah maybe I can give it another run a little later if you guys would like.

Also I played through my tele, which I now think might have not been the best idea. Buckers sound better through my camera.

Try playing riffs from different songs. Do you know any blues riffs? Those would go good with the tube overdrive. Can you play iron man, smoke on the water, or sweet child of mine? Those are good starter songs.

yeah Kutless is right, you know play something that sounds good without anything else like drums or bass, so that people who doesnt even know the riffs won't go like "erm.. :confuse: "

as for me... erm finally got done with my tracks

Pumpkin Cake, the 4th album by Vendetta V is available for pre-order now!
http://vendettav.bandcamp.com/album/pumpkin-cake

make sure to at least listen to those, the tracks are now fix'd, without any phase issues, and well with all sort of RP355 goodness in there

Sounds great man!

And when I use the tube screamer to boost an amp model, do I have to use a tube screamer or can I use another overdrive pedal? And also, do I have to boost all the amps with overdrive?(besides the clean amps)

And what amp model on the rp355 takes pedals the best?(I.e. The big muff, death metal, ds1, etc.) Because I found that some amps don't take them too well.

One more question, do I have to adjust the noise gate a certain way, or can I just slap it on without adjusting it? How does it work? Sorry for all the questions.

There are two things an OD can do. It can boost the signal and/or it can act as a distortion pedal. You don't have to use a Tubescreamer. Any OD can be combined with an amp. MOst of the time you are cascading two distortions. If both distortions are high gain then it may not work well or you may hardly hear a difference.

Basically no rules. Mix and match according to your preference. Since I haven't used the amp models much I can't comment on the best combinations.

And yes you should adjust the noise gate. But the default setting may work for you. It all depends on how you want the notes to decay.

Thanks And how do you adjust the noise gate correctly and what do the settings do?

Well threshold is probably the most important. It's the level at which the gates turns on and off. Then you have attack and release, which is the rate at which the volume kicks in and then fades out. I don't use a gate a lot because it messes with the feel of the tone. But you kind of need it when using gain (amps or stomps) in your chain.

Thanks. Yeah, I really need noise gate because there's alot of noise without it.

seems like your questions got answered, erm for the boost, it all depends if you like with or without it I myself like to lower the gain on the amp a bit from the point i like it and then boost it with an overdrive to the point i like it again, it tightens the things a bit plus I play live stompbox mode so then i have a nice lower gain sound as well which gives me kind ofa saturated clean sound when i roll off the volume on the guitar... not the best cleans but for live and for like parts in the song that don't really requier super clean stuff you know I'm already doing pedaldance thru my songs so wouldnt want to make it more complicated
