It really depends on the guitar. On my Taylor acoustic, I use Nanoweb 12s. On my Taylor T5, I use flatwound 11s. On my electrics, I mostly use D'Addario 9s or 10s. On one of my electrics, I'm trying out some Nanoweb 9s. Each guitar has its own purpose and I choose the strings accordingly.

I sincerely hope this is not the umpteenth "What threads should I get?". It's a sticky for a reason. Your phrasing is the only thing that saved from getting reported.

OT: D'addario Phosphor Bronze .12s.

try the sexolydian scale.
I just love the G string. It's just such a wonderful string, and it's easily the tightest thing you will find near a guitar. So comfortable........
