Hi,
after having asked some help in another thread and asked some advice from my teacher, I decided for my first electric guitar I'll look for a double humbucker one.

I'll use it to play mainly metal and rock, but I don't know how to choose one. I'll go to a shop, which is told to be one of the best around here, and I hope it'll have many kind of guitars. (btw, catalogue here; even if I think they have more stuff in the shop:

But how should I choose one? Which are the better pickups for rock/metal?
Is an esp good or bad? What about schetchers?

Budget is around 1000 euro.

Thanks in advance

It depends on what Kinda bands your trying to sound like
Id say schecter(biased) with EMGs

I have a Japanese made ESP with a seymour duncan '59 in the neck, and a JB in the bridge (with a coil tap), and I've found that for beauty, playability, and versatility, it's been unbeatable.

If you can get one for your price range, I couldn't recommend them more highly.

best pickups are usually ones made by dimarzio, seymour duncan or emg, then you need to decide on what shape of guitar you want, what colour etc etc, many brands make great HH guitars for rock and metal which are within your budget.
You seem to like judas priest so maybe look at a gibson flying v?

I'm going for a Schecter Blackjack ATX soon, it's got HH, Seymour Duncan Blackouts (some debate wether they're better than EMG's) and people have said that it's better than their £2000 (about $3200) Jacksons, and this guitar is only £700-£900 (not sure about America, import rates make it expensive for us, you would probably get it for under or around $1000)

Zakk wylde, Judas, acdc, maybe guns sometimes..but mainly zakk and acdc.

The linked schecter looks great...maybe I'll look after it.

Are there some sostantial differences between dimarzio, emg and seymour pickups?

You clearly either didn't read the budget or don't know how much a Gibson anything cost

A POS faded flying V will pretty much eat the a whole lot the budget leaving very little if anything for an amp.

I mid to high end epihone or Jackson or LTD

By the TS gets done paying import duty they would be looking at around 800 euros.

Better way of doing it

Right now, there are six and a half billion people on earth who don't care what kind of tubes you have in your amplifier

If you're buying online check out Thomann.de since you're in Europe.

That's a really good budget to be working with, your best bet is probably to go to some local stores and try out some guitars yourself. Look for something with high output pickups and see what feels comfortable. ESP/LTD, Ibanez, Schecter and Jackson are all good choices that are aimed at Rock/Metal so maybe that's be a good place to start.

EDIT: Are you looking for an amp too? The amp will make up most of your sound so don't spend your entire budget on a guitar and only leave a little for the amp.

Actually I'm not looking for any amp...my father is building something that is supposed to do an amps job, at least for learning, and I trust him

But I have a good new, I can go here as well:

Converted budget will be around...260.000 ft

1000 ft=4 euro more or less..

Are the prices of that shop good or are they too high?

Try that one, it had the two humbuckers like you want and it had coil tapping so you can make them single coil for you cleaner sounds. The mahogany body will great for the music you want to play, and I havnt heard a sigle bad thing about Parker

No, the guitar was built to play metal. Not pussy ass cowboy chords. They won't work on that guitar. Get a Gibson Hummingbird for that bullshit. .
