Hey guys,

I've been looking for a new guitar for a while and found an Ibanez RG3120 TW online, it was made in 2002.
I was just wondering what the general feel is toward this guitar. Is it a good guitar for shred, since it has the thin neck? At the moment I have a roland cube 30x which I plug into Guitar Rig 4.

Styles: Just about anything from blues to shred.

Thanks!

Yes, its a very good guitar. 2002 would mean it probably has the LoPro trem, rather than the Edge Pro, the LoPro is just a little better (both are very good trems though)
The stock pickups were a Dimarzio ToneZone in the bridge and PAF Pro in the neck. The neck should be the Super Wizard profile IIRC, which is a great neck for shred stuff.
If its in good condition, I'd go for it.

Good to hear, what would be a nice price if it is in mint condition?

You in the US? I'm not too sure on prices there, but from what I've seen, $800 - $1200 is usual, $800 being in rough players condition.

Yeah, I'll try. Will a guitar like this one increase in value over time? Since it's discontinued and all? ( not that I would want to sell it. )

3 - MIJ, good looks.
1 - Features of the 1xx series [but much better]
2 - HH
0 - Trem

LoPro right?

Anyway for 650 euros, the only way you could go wrong is if it's in crap condition or if it's fake. Check it out first.

yeah if it's in good condition and it's legit i think that's probably a pretty good price.

I'll have to put the Classic T models on my to-try list. Shame the finish options there are Anachronism Gold, Nuclear Waste and Aged Clown, because in principle the plaintop is right up my alley.

Presumably because the CCF (Combined Corksniffing Forces) of MLP and Gibson forums would rise up against them, plunging the land into war.

the aanj is about the best joint i've come across for upper fret access, short of a neck-thru.

The seller wouldn't go to €600 unfortunately, but I'm going to pick it up tonight. Anything I should look out for when I try it out, to see if it's good or not?

Check for stress fractures on the back of the neck where the locking nut bolts are.

Check the trems action is smooth and returns to neutral properly.

Make sure that the pots arent scratchy.

Just the usual things really buddy.
