Hey guys how do you think a Gibson Sg Standard (Heritage Cherry) would look with god hardware instead of chrome. I have always wanted to do this and i would like to hear about what other people think.

I pesonaly think gold hardware is very Tacky, even Ghetoish. I'll take Nickel any day.

Gold hardware looks awful anyway, probably even worse with that finish. It'd look like gold mold.

Gibson made a three-pickup model with gold hardware called an SG-3 a couple years ago. It came in Heritage Cherry as well as black...it actually looked really nice.

I think Cherry+gold hardware'd be sexy. But, then, I think PRSes are generic and in some cases dog-ugly, and I like MLs, so I think I'm just retarded...xD

Nah, I prefer to tune lower. My tunings usually go into weird Hebrew symbols.

No, there's a different model called the SG-3. It looked basically like a Standard, but with three pickups, two knobs, and a rotary switch.
All the way from Palm Springs, just out of detox.

I don't think it would look too good unless you also change out the pickguard for a whit one. There was a Classic Custom model that was cherry with gold hardware, white pickguard, and block inlays. It looks ****in' beautiful.
