I'm looking for a new amp, today I was at guitar center and I tried out the Vox Valvetronix VT40+ 40W 1x10 Guitar Combo Amp, I liked it a lot but as I don't know a whole lot about amps I just want to ask you guys a few things...

A) Has anyone ever had this amp? Thoughts?
B) I know it's not an all-tube amp, its tube-driven. What are your experiences with tube driven compared to all-tube amps?

Thanks in advance

Edit: If it helps, I play mostly classic rock stuff

The Valvetronix series sounds really nice, and seem really dependable. I haven't really seen a Vox product that I don't like. Go for it.

i tried out the VT20+ and it was pretty good for a practise amp, the higher gain sounds were very digital I got used to it after a while but otherwise it was good

I've played some Valvetronix amps, I think they're really good.

Didn't you say that you had a stuffed fox that you would occasionally fuck?
